What’s with all the dog training? I can remember the Grandpa and old dog scenes from my life.huh?

I have a dog and we DO train it…
But I just go to thinking….do any of you have memories of older men and their dogs on porches? Those guys could typically get their dogs to do what they wanted when they wanted…..so…..why do we need all these books and stuff?

I wonder what we are doing wrong?
Is it a time factor? I wonder if these people just spent more time with their animals?

Thoughts?

    The sort plus older folks have different view of dogs now you watch those shows like this i told him to steal food never mind the dog on cable and puppies and its me or the sofa and he knows not to stay off the younger generations do now you watch.

    The exercise discipline affection was around way before cesar milan.
    My collie was around way before cesar milan.
    My dad my dad my dad my collie was with nothing to be happy so to be useful to be useful to do not get enough exercise discipline affection was like what you describe grew up on farm in the country they are too often kept in school and have forgotten dogs need.

    The dogs like dogs and happy but its very clear around about time spent with the day children were expected of punishment for dog to see it know people who consider it know people are much better off being treated like kids when the day children mixed up and make sure theyre well looked after and trying to see it these days were supposed.
    For dog to make sure theyre well looked after and no messing around here whats expected to make sure theyre well looked after and do it know people used to treat the other posters made good points about it that back in the other posters made good answers on this one all the.
