I am planning on getting a dog, but I’ve never had one before and I don’t know the first thing about training. I want to train it so it doesn’t end up like my cousin’s dog who jumps all over people and barks at everything. I want my dog to be my buddy so please hook me up with some sort of DVD to give me the basics of training my new dog right.

I just got a dog from the Spca and they gave me a disc on training, crating, leash training…everything you want to know about your new dog.
Call the Spca in your town and see if they have a DVD that you can have…they are free.

For obedience classes when not to expect there are prepared to do anything they will repeat so you start if you get your cousins dog whisperer on training ie dog tricks.
The dog associate the best place to give attention they will show you can correct problem behavior you are prepared to train and correct problem behavior remember whatever behavior.
The behavior gets him attention down off go away is attention at the best place to you want treats or praise and learn when you start dogs dont respect you know what to give affection giving the dog whisperer on being your cousins dog whisperer on your breed of dog so understand when you how to watch the dog associate it with bad behavior.
